Car dies then comes back to life! 850 1995

Hi,

Perplexing problem with my 1995 850. ABout every 12-15 months for the last 5 years my car refuses to start (actually totally dead) for no apparent reason, I let it sit and after 30 minutes or so it starts! It may go another 3-4 weeks without incident and then occurs again. It's dead to the point that the radio code cancels (manual reset required)and the clock resets. I take it to the dealer and they can't figure out what the problem is so they get me a new battery and I'm fine for the next 12-15 months. Well it's happenning again and I'd like to get to the bottom of this once and for all...Obviously something is draining it....are these guys too lazy or incompetent to get to the root cause?
