transmission adaptation - is it possible to adjust it? 850 1995

My '95 w/ 117k miles, shifts somewhat hard from 1st to 2nd, then it shifts fine (2-3 and 3-4). About a year ago I installed fog lights and used volvo connector and switch w/ PIAA lights.
It is possible that during installation, I opened a circuit (pulled a wire)that carries signal from speedometer to transmission. The result was:
tranny would not shift into 2nd gear until engine riched ~3,000 rpms, howewver, it would happen only once after the car was started, and after that the tranny would shift fine - if I remember well, even better/softer then before,
Also, SPORTS/ECONO switch and orange UP ARROW did not light up at all.

I had to go to the dealer, who fixed the problem. the mechanich who worked on the car told me "they all shift like yours" (850s), but mentioned that the tranny on 850 is adapting one and the adaptation can be re-set w/ a computer.

***I did a full flash w/ a dyno fluid a year ago, and the w/ syntetic (Mobil) about 7 months back.

Any comments appreciated.
