Adjust gear shift advice...... 850 1995

Your PNP switch is either incorrectly adjusted IF replaced before OR it's NG. The 124 code is just a false code for the mode selector switch and that code is commonly present in most 850s yet not causing any problems in itself, just clear the code if it bothers you.
Other than the PNP switch and shift cable at the trans, there are no other possible adjustments in the shifter area.
