No its easy to change the lens. The new ones will come with new gasket and clips. Just pop the old clips off with a screwdriver and pull the lens off then remove the old gasket and install the new one, don't get any fingerprints on the reflector surface. All you'll have to do is remove the turnsignal housing and the front facia piece thats under the headlight to access the clips. The facia is held on with only 3 clips, remove the clip thats closest to the radiator then you should be able to pull the trim piece straight forward and it will pop free. When you get it all back together you'll have to re-aim the headlights because the E-code beam pattern is different than the DOT pattern. Because the E-code has less dispersion it concentrates most of the light right in front of the car whereas the DOT pattern is more of a floodlight pattern, E-code is a "driving" light pattern. I found that I could tilt the beam up much further than the DOT pattern and get double the distance illuminated. You can almost light cigarettes with the highbeams on. From the outside there's not much visible difference between the DOT and E-code lens unless you know what you're looking at and the discreet markings. I give this about a 9 on the bang for the buck upgrade meter. FCPGroton had the best prices and they are a site supporter. It takes about 3 days to get the stuff via UPS. Good luck..... Mike
