Problem with improved Headlight Switch V70-XC70 1998

Hi guys,

Hope some one can share this experience with me. Dealer changed HL switch Oct. 2001 (recall because of mfg defect; the original switch broke apart and no HL one night!). The new (and supposedly improved) switch has been OK until this morning.

I am in the Chicago area, and this morning was 27 deg. F.

HL would flicker and by manipulating the switch, the HL would go on and off.
(Definitely not the main HL relay; because if it is the bad main HL relay there will be no light at all).

Does anyone have problem with the "improved" HL switch?

Thanks for any opinions.
