ABS service required S80

Go ahead and tell the dealer to replace the ABS module now. It works out better for both of you. They do get paid on the warranty work, and you have some time before your warranty expires to be sure it is fixed.

I tried to get the tranny flushed as one of the "problems" I was having when I had the car in for the ABS work. They weren't having any of that.....service writer said that both he and the technician drove the car, it shifted fine, the fluid was fine, and they would be happy to flush the tranny, and replace the ATF with good old Dexron III G (the $1.25/qt stuff because that's what the spec for a T6 calls for) for $150.

I passed on that, did the flush myself the next day with Mobil 1 synthetic ATF for like $75 total cost. I was pissed because the fluid I flushed out was brown and smelly, and the car shifted noticably quicker and smoother after the flush.

BTW, I don't think there is a need to change the tranny filter. Dealer doesn't like to do it, and you could introduce contamination when you drop the pan. A good flush is really all you need, IMHO.
