Getting rid of the Minivan (yay!), which 850/V70? 850 1996

Some of you might remember my plight a few months ago, we bought a minivan instead of what I wanted - another Volvo. SO after 3 trips to the dealer to fix a bunch of stupid crap that shouldn't have broken on a car with only 50kmi, the wife *finally* figured out that this vehicle was a bad idea.

What I'd like to get is a '96 855R if I can find one in good condition in our price range. However, I thought I'd ask the collective minds here if there are any known major issues, or if there are years I should look out for. Also, since I'm historically a 240 guy, the 850/V70 would be brand-new territory for me. Is there anything I should specifically ask about/check when looking at a used 850?
