V70 V70-XC70 1998

I was somewhat disappointed by the "thread" I read that degenerated into obscene language and criticism. I would hope that we can remain on the factual machanical level. I to was impressed by CR's list of cars to be avoided and after I got mine I noticed that it was one to be avoided. Yet after more that 6 mos. I have had no problems to speak of except poorly fitting upolstry that was repaired under=-warranty. I don't need the head-light washers, that left b blue fluid on the hood of the car; so I had them turned off and the fluid diverted. The car is noisier than I would like at low speeds and the MPG is not as good as I would like (aprox., 20mpg around town). Other than that, it has been serving us well.
I was interested what electrical problems folks were experiencing, since that is was CR listed as a problem area on the check-list run-down year by year, model by model.
