Sounds like criticism to me.... V70-XC70 1998

Check out Kino's Volvo survey http://kinovolvo.velez.ws/ (click on the "survey tab" RH lower corner for Survey I and Survey II) also http://www.volvospeed.com/bay13.htm for some common failures and their fixes. With the change in weather, there have recently been a rash of ABS/TRACS controller failures. in addition to the electrical recalls, I've had 3 power door locks replaced, the ignition switch (back-ordered about a week) throttle position sensor, 2 batteries, stereo speaker, ACC sensor, trip computer error, CD stuck in SC816, sunroof stuck open in the long term parking lot of Newark International Airport and probably a few other electrical gizmos that I can't think of. Poltergeists still reside in my ACC. The story I've heard is that Volvo contracts the electricals out to FIAT, also to comply with EC regulations a certain number of jobs must be reserved for the disabled, for Volvo they assemble the wiring harnesses.....

At least unless you have an XC or other AWD, the cost of repairing most common failures is less than the cost of trading the car.

Broke my rear anti-sway bar today but that's not "electrical".

Otherwise, it's been a fun car.
