850 alignment scam? 850 1997

I realize that it no doubt took longer to set up the alignment equipment on the car than it did to adjust it. It looks like they DID put a wrench on both steering shafts where they attach to the tie rods. The lock nuts on the tie rods don't look like they were touched however. I am not sure how much adjustment can be done without loosening the jam nuts. I will call tomorrow and ask the salesman. We'll see what his story is. I was told they would check it for free, so I guess in order to make it worth their while, they have to find something to adjust to justify charging me. I'm just not sure if there's a positive alignment mark somewhere on the column or rack that he used, or did he just put the steering wheel where it looked centered and then go to work.
