Yay! I got a new Transmission at 12,000 miles!!! V70-XC70 2001

Went to Cerritos Volvo three seperate times for a harsh shifting tranny on 2-3 gears. The third time they finally put a brand new tranny. Diagnosis? Internal Transmission fault/defect.. It now shifts like a $40,000 should be shifting. This is our first European car and first Volvo. I am disappointed at problems at such an early mileage. Now, I hear grinding noises when I make a U turn. shit. I am now scared what would happen down the road. Time to buy a fu**in' extended warranty I guess.

Volvo's are nice but I guess you pay a price for owning a brick. Coming from an Infiniti/Nissan buyer, now I know why Japanese cars are so popular. They are damn reliable and built well. Actually the Volvo does not offer anything so special that a Subaru doesnt have. I guess the status of owning a Volvo??
