NON WORKING SPEEDOMETER 94 850 850

It does not sound right - nif you put 2 cable ends together you should not burn anything since there is no current in the system. I don't think there is a separate fuse for speedo only - there is one for the whole instrument cluster.
If your car has auto tranny and the tranny shifts right it means that there is a signal for the speedometer, but the gauge itself not working - I'd try a junk yard for another cluster since the sppedometer itself PROBABLY is not repairable.
