Rear sensor replacement? 850

My rear pass. sensor also went bad. The unit comes together with both rear wheel sensors as well as the wiring. The removal and replacement procedure seems too difficult for the DIYer because I was told that the fuel tank has to be removed for the wiring to be attached properly. I'm planning on having mine done before the snow hits the ground for good this winter. I'm tired of the ABS pump running self tests while I'm trying to brake from 120km/h. Good luck.
