ABS/Trax problem- 97 850 850 1997

What is the size of the 'e' type torx fastener on the ABS control block? Where can i buy the socket? Attempted removal with a 6mm hex socket-got one off and stripped 1 so i aborted the mission. My main question is why did Volvo select torx fasteners when there are better choices such as hex head allen type fasteners. Thanks in advance for the info.

Main Issue.... My abs block motor operated for 30-40 seconds recently while traveling at 25-30 MPH with no abs/trax lites illuminated. (buzzing sound under the hood) Brakes were very hard with reduced stopping power during motor operation. On slowing to >5 mph, the motor stopped and abs/trax lites illuminated with brake function returning to normal. Based on my experience and previous posts on this site, i consider this a recall issue. I plan to report the problem to NTSB. I urge others with this problem to do the same. I hope this gets some attention. Obviously, under the right conditions, this could cause an accident. I expect a car company that sells on safety would have some concern over this issue. Hope some Volvo management reads this and other posts and takes action....
