replacement tires for 850-T 850 1995

I am in need of replacement tires... If I am correct, the original tires are 205/50/16 .. what I have now (when I bought it ) are 205/55/16 .. It seams there are more options with 205/55/16 .. I only drive in the snow about 10-15 times thru the year ... any suggestions ???? also . does anyone know if there is a performance difference between the sizes ?? Thanks, Curtis
