A3: 444 related to odometer not working? 850 1994

I read a post from 6 months ago ( http://www.brickboard.com/AWD/index.htm?id=458409&show_all=1 ) that related this code (no power supply to hydraulic modulator valves) to the guys speedometer. All of my gauges work except for my odometer, and have pulled 214-213-444-142 off of the A3. BTW, no ABS light is on. Thanks for your time. -Stu
