Anyone else find turn signals really LOUD? 850 1994

This has been a pet peeve of mine ever since I bought my 855 (one of the very few things I don't like about it). I belive it's the same with at least the older 240 series as well.

Is there any way to disable the "clicker" behind the dash, or is that obnoxious noise simply the sound of the relay contacts opening and closing. Hell, I'd even opt for a silent turn signal, it that were the only choice!

Thanks in advance, and my apologies if this has been covered earlier, in a previous thread.
