Coolant Smell after thermostat replacement 850 1995

I can smell the coolant around the thermostat housing area after the thermostat replacement yesterday. The smell is when the car is HOT. I had some coolant spilled during the replacement. Now, I look at the housing area, no more wet spot around the housing. However, I can smell coolant when the car is running and hot.

Could it be the housing screw not tight enough. I used new screws and worry about stripping the torx screws when tighten them. I following Bay13 instruction to make sure that thermostat bleeder hole is facing forward to the front of the car.

Any suggestion is appreciated.

Thanks,

Ching-Ho Cheng
