Trip meter and milage meter stopped working 850 1997

Went to drive to check the distance of one of my jogging routes today, pressed the trip meter button,everything reset and would not advance. IT'S NOT WORKING.
I noticed my wife had had the oil changed for me at 61,776 miles. It show on the sticker on my windshield for oil to be changed again at 64,776. I don't know when it stopped working. Please tell me this is an easy fix!
