850 vs S/V70

There were a number of engineering changes introduced with the 70-series. Others are no doubt more familiar with the full catalog of these changes, but here are *some* that II appreciate:

Lighting (H7 lamps, allowing for more powerful halogens)
Suspension (more comfortable ride)
Side impact airbags (chest/torso shield, in the seats)
Boost gauge (it's gone! What th....??)
Cupholders (better; not great)
Window switches (now on the armrest)

Fundamentally, this is the same car (Volvo refers to it internally as the 870 series) but with enough engineering changes to give it the same teething pains as an entirely new model.
