Fluid Replacement Questions

Where is the reservoir for the Automatic Transmission fluid?
Inside the trans itself.....there is no remote res for the ATF.

Do the Power Steering and Automatic Transmission share the same reservoir (the Power Steering reservoir)?
No.

Can this be true?!
Yes....just top it off.

When the Coolant is flushed/changed, the manual states that only 'Volvo Genuine Coolant/Antifreeze' be used. How does Volvo's antifreeze differ from Prestone(mixed 50%/50% as directed on the back page of the manual)?
There is a recent thread about this very thing......I am sure one of the bricksters could go into a long winded explanation(and IMHO informative) on how the Volvo coolant is designed specificly for the typs of metal in our cooling systems.....but if you look a bit at the archives, you will find out right away to stay with Volvo coolant......at least thats what most people here do....myself included.

OH.....and BTW I also have a 00 S70/GLT with a build date of 11/99. It has just under 30K miles on it now, and I can say I am 100% happy with the car(no "real" problems....just take care of it and it will take care of you).....and even more happy with the servicing dealer.
