front wheel bearings.

Have newer heard of that before - does your Volvo dealer install them right - the front wheel bearings changed type from modelyear 97 to 98 the 98- have to be first tightened by torque wrench and then additional 60 degrease if i remember right - the pre 98 where only tightened by torque wrench.

The front bearings are of wery heawy construction on the S/V 40 especialy on the 98- models.

Your story indicates that the bearings are mounted wrong.
