interior console lights repalcement on 850

John-

I am in the middle of this very project on my '94 855, starting with the seat heater switches on either side of the stick. The short answer is yes, the switches will pop out if you pry them with a thinblade screwdriver.

My switches work fine, though the lighted icons no longer light up. Since new switches would cost $35 each from the dealer, I figured there had to be a better DIY way. Unlike some of the bulbs in the dash (behind the heater controls, for instance) the switch bulbs are soldered-in, so we'll need to whip out the the old Weller (not Old Yeller!) to replace them.

I'll take some digital pix as I work on it over the long weekend. Give me your e-mail address and I'll send them to you or post them if there's broader interest.
