XC90 - Request for towing info XC90

Was looking over the XC90 brochures. Don't see much info about towing except maximum towing weights. Am interested in towing my 3000lb boat/trailer combo. While I see it's rated for upto 5000lbs, that alone doesn't mean much. I'm sure it can tow my 3000lb boat & trailer. My V70 is rated by volvo for 3000lbs which I think is absurd. I hitched the boat up and while the V70 pulled her out, no way is that a car for towing 3000lbs. I would have destroyed my wife's car if I'd of kept using it to tow the boat. Am wondering if the XC90 can really tow up to 5000lbs long term or if Volvo is just putting that number out there thinking nobody will really try to do it or do it repeatedly. Anybody know anything else? Is there a towing package available? Transmission cooler? Oil cooler? Can overdrive be locked out? Thanks!
