NOISE FROM TIMING BELT COVER S70

I am hearing a noise coming from a timing belt area. its not the accessory belts themselves. i am assuming it coming from the timing belt or sprocket rubbing against the cover. this noise came about unexpectedly . it was ok when i drove the car in florida. but i moved up to ny and now i hear this wo wo wo sound.any ideas? I have 30k miles and its a 98 s70 auto non turbo.
