Release of Volvo's proprietary codes

I'm curious, do you have a url handy about that? News to me.

I'd guess that even new OBD2 scanner software might not help you read any more codes with an older car as Volvo made it so that only a bare minimum amount of info (required by the feds) would be readable through generic scan tools.
If there's any new federal OBD2 software related regulations, I'd think that it'd only effect new cars, not be retroactive to older cars as that might not be possible. Just my opinion.
