V70 Transmission

car is 2000 V70 SE w/ 48,000 miles...

have read where the AW5 transmission is not the favorite choice of many drivers. But have put up with it till now.

At low speeds/slowly decelerating to a stop, trans will clunk when in downshifts passing through 12-15 mph. Hard to duplicate symptoms but when it does it, it's obvious, annoying and can't be any good.

Dealer says so far they cant detect the trouble on a road test, but the service advisor did a high speed test and then ran a diagnostic.

But it;s there and it's getting worse, and I will take the tech for my own test drive.

Anyway, any similar symptoms out there and what was the repair?
