Seeking advice as a potential V70 awd buyer. Please assist!

I drive a 98 AWD and I really love my car. It's not been problem free but I've come to the conclusion that all AWD's require attention and extra care, check tire pressure, same tires etc.

However much I like mine, if I had to do it over again, I'd probably go with a T5 FWD. If you don't need AWD then don't choose the AWD. Extra weight, extra mechanism. From what I hear, a T5 FWD does quite well with snow tires.
