Transmission Arrow on dash is blinking. Need help!!! 850

Hey all. I've got a 94 850 n/a. I started up my baby this morning when it was minus 15 celcius outside. I let her idle for about a minute or two before I put it in reverse. I noticed that it did'nt want to move in reverse however. I then put it into drive, and the orange dash light started to blink, as well as the lights on the econo and sport switch. My car is now moving around in "safe" mode so it's basically stuck in 3rd I think. I've got 230,000km's on it and recently it's started to act up on me a bit, aside from this tranny trouble.

Does anyone have any suggestions???
