Volvo Bosch Alternator 850 1995

Hi Volvo people,

I don't actually own a Volvo but have been driving Citroens for many years. I purchased an alternator at the junk yard from a 1995 850. It looked like it would be a very close fit on my Citroens.
My question is this:
There is a terminal on the back of the alternator marked D+. Where does this go? Does it go to the idiot lite?
