I'd like to hear some opinions on future resale

I'm a newbie volvo owner, bought the wife a '96 855GLT N/A w/ 93K on the clock 10 months ago. In the ten months Ive had to replace rear main seal ($600 common problem), weld body at drivers door stop ($80 common prob), I just had the abs/tracs light paranormal phenomenon happen (maybe a $350 control module, common prob), and found out that the cycling AC compressor may be a leaky evaporator ($1,500 common prob). As I look into the future I see alot of mid to late '90's 850's and 70's getting up there in miles. Do you think the resale value of these cars will be next to nothing given their repair needs? Or maybe there will just be alot of FWD volvos running around leaking oil, making strange noises, with all the warning lights glowing warmly on the dashboard. Any predictions anybody? (I'm smiling when I write this cuz I really do like my brick)
