oxygen sensor bench test advice 850 1994

Just removed my o2 sensor today and bench tested it. Need some advice on the results. When applying heat with the propane torch to the tip (red hot) I get a maximum of .8 volts from the sensor. When I remove the torch the voltage drops to .1 volts in about 8 seconds. Too slow ? re applying the torch the voltage goes to a maximum of .8 volts again in 8 seconds. Too slow ? the faults I was getting on A2 socket were 435 and 436 (slow response).

Tried cleaning the sensor but didn't seem to make a difference. The car still idles rough and sometimes seems to be hunting for correct idle speed.

I need advice before paying big bucks for new sensor.

Thanks
