Transmssion 850 1993

I have a 93 GLT with 120k.

The issue you mentioned is not a problem with your car.

Here is my experience,

During a bellow freezing morning I got out of a friend’s steep slippery driveway with that blinking arrow. I spoke to the dealer about it and they told me that it was normal.

Explanation: When the car slips on a steep slippery hill, the transmission automatically goes to 3rd gear to gain some traction on the road.

This happened to me exactly again and again with the same weather and driveway condition. I do not visit my friend often and last one happened two years ago.

My car’s transmission works like a dedicated soldier and hope it should last atleast upto 200k.

Ronjon
