Adding a 'door ajar' indicator? 850

Am I the only one that misses this feature that many other cars have on the dashboard?

I notice the road noise and realize one of the rear doors is not closed tight, but not necessarily right out of the driveway. This happened twice when I have two kids in the back (I put the baby carseat on one left side without shutting the door, 'cause she cries whenever I shut the door on her and get out of her sight, and run over to the other side to get my son buckled in, then run back to drive off without realizing the left rear door is still not shut).

Of course, I'm more anal now and do a double visual check before moving the car. I checked the manual to see if I had a burnt bulb it's missing the indicator altogether. Good thing the door is heavy - otherwise it would've flung open making a left turn and potentially cause an accident, or a heart attack.

Has this happen to anyone else?
Am I the only absent-minded one here?
Has anyone added the feature, either as a visual or audio indicator? If so, what/how did you do it?
