850 Turbo fails to start 850 1994

I have a '94 850 turbo sedan with something of an odd problem. My wife got in the car this morning, started it up and backed out, then realized she forgot something in the house. She shut off the car, went in the house, and came back about 1 minute later. The car (starter) would not turn over. There are no lights that dim when the key is held in the start position.

This happened before, and I was able to shift the car out of park using the shiftlock override, then put it back into park. The car would then start. This doesn't happen today. Do you think that this could be the park/neutral sensor switch or whatever it is called? If so, where is it and how hard is it to repair/replace? Other ideas? Thank you in advance from Mississippi.
