Alternator, AGAIN? 850 1995

Thanks for all your help so far...

Ok, So i have my car into a mechanic here at College, I am having him check the grounds, all wires/connections from the alternator to the battery, the alternator, and the battery.

I also forgot to mention, the time it did start the other night, The time i actually got it back where to the parking lot, It didnt start at all the first time i tried to crank it. Somehow, i was just playing around, and turned the key to start, back to position 2, like back and forth really quick about 3 times, and it did start. I didnt think anything of it at the time, But now the mechanic here says it might be the Ignition switch, cutting power to things. Does that sound reasonable? I read on Bay 13 that the replacement on that should take less than a half hour, and the part i found online is about 50 bucks. Does that sound right?
On bay 13, the reasons for the ignition swich needing replaced were The ABS/Trac lights being on, wipers or headlights not working. The only one of those i have going on, is when the car started to die, the ABS/Trac lights were the first to go on, and stayed on while the others popped on one by one. Thats the only thing i can think of?
Any ideas?
