If you must go to a non-Volvo tech to get your oil changed, bring your own Volvo filter AND a new washer of the correct type (aluminum I think).

If you have to, pay them an extra buck or two to use your filter. Don't forget to get credit for their filter, or take it to give to a friend for a paperweight.

My daughter took one of our 740s to Jiffy Lube and the car came back with the lock on the transmission dipstick bent out of the way so it would not lock.

When I made an irate phone call to the shop manager, he apologized, but never denied that his man did the deed.

We purchased a 740 that was serviced at another Jiffy Lube and the same lock was bent!
