850 Volvos are very prone to hydraulic tappet noise once they have a few kays on them.Although it is important to use a genuine filter and correct type of oil,if its a rattling sound that occurs for a few seconds after startup then unless your oil pressure light goes out the second the noise stops its probbaly tappet noise this will also come and go on some cars as they are idling.
