No heat in the seat.... 850 1994

I discoverd one -15 degree morning that my heated seat didn't provide any heat.

I followed the cable up into my seat and with my finger I could feel a circular(?) metal plate that I could move around. The one on the passenger side doesn't slide around and the heater works (lucky passenger). I'm assuming this is the source of a loose or broken connection.

Can anyone tell me if this is merely some sort of slip connector that I might be able to reconnect or is this more likely to be a break. I can feel it moving around, but I can't see it. The Haynes manual simply recommends taking it to the dealer if the seat upolstery needs to be removed.

Any help is greatly appreciated....
