Well, I'll just give you a couple of examples:
Female friend was looking at a used BMW M3 on their lot and your typical greasy-haired salesman starts talking to her with a chip on his shoulder. She was really looking for a used 850, but the M3 caught her eye. Anyways, long story short, she asks what makes the car so special. He puffed up his chest and replied that it was the "Ultimate Driving Machine" and left it at that. Perplexed, she then asks was that means to her and requests an explanation of that statement. At that point he basically tells her (in so many words) that she doesn't deserve to drive the vehicle.
Same friend purchased a Volvo certified used 1997 850, from another dealership 300 miles away, took the car in because of a check engine light. Only had it for a couple of months and figures if it was anything major it would be covered under the 2 year factory warranty. The service manager tells her it's the O2 sensor and that the catalytic converter needed to be cleaned. Total price was $600 and they would have to order the O2 sensor. She asked if it would covered under the Volvo certified warranty and he tells her that he had never heard of such a thing. Even after showing him the paperwork, he had the nerve to insinuate that she made up the warranty.
In addition to just bad treatment of other potential buyers, they also treat Volvo & Subaru owners as second class citizens, remodeling a new addition strictly for their BMW clientale.
