V70 - Replacing upper engine mount V70-XC70 1998

I replaced mine with an oem myself.

Yes, you can get the old one out using a hacksaw blade, but be careful not to cut the seating surface. I left the bracket in the car, and using a set of large flat washers and a long nut and bolt, I was able to "pull" the new mount into the mounting seat. It was a pia, and took about an hour. You can't just push or pound the new mount into the metal bracket.

If you are real ambitious, you could pull the bracket off the engine, and then possibly take the bracket and the mount to a machine shop and have them press it in.

I think Volvo techs have a special tool for this.

Good luck.
