VADIS Trouble Code Query - ETS Light Problem V70-XC70 1999

Had 60k service done on our '99 V70 on 12/6/02. On 12/9/02 ETS light came on for first time ever. Called dealer. Was told if it came on again to bring car in. Came on again 12/22/02. Dealer ran a check, said code "91A7" came up indicating need for new throttle body. $700.00 spent on 12/23/02 to have TB and new software installed. Not how I wanted to send a chuck of my Xmas money.

Couple of questions for the group.
Could anything that was done during the 60K have caused this (reciept indicates throttle body was cleaned and fuel system cleaner added to gas tank)?
Does this code indicate a bad throttle body or just a need for software (seems to me I've read somewhere that 91A7 just means a need to reinstall software)?
