S70 Question S70

The 740/760 evolved into the 940/960 and then the S90 in 6 cylinder only. The 850 series received a mild refreshening in mid '97 and was renamed the S70. The S60 is supposed to take the place of the S70 but IMHO is too small in back. The 70 has much more passenger room. Volvo had its eyes set on the small BMW and Audi sedans when designing the 60 and in the process took away one of the real selling points to the 70- a useable back seat.
