The brake pedal pumping method has a disadvantage compared to the pressure bleeders. When the brake pedal goes to the floor, the master cylinder piston goes into an area which is never used and can get messed up pushing past any crud in there. I stopped using this method when the low cost pressure bleeders came out. Much cheaper than a new master cylinder! That's my $0.02.
