Jammed CD Player? 850

Had the same problem on my 94 850. I was getting a code of E1 on the radio display. No one knew what it meant so I dove into myself. I was either going to fix it or replace it. What happened in my case was that two cds tried to play at the same time (not good!) and got jammed when the changer tried to insert them. You will need to remove the changer from the car. You can track the power connection by following the cord into the side panel. Start by removing the changer case. You should be able to see the cassette and the jammed cds. Using a small tool (screwdriver), I was able to slide the cds back into place. This will take a little mechanical ability to figure out how to get to the cds. I took the cds changer just about apart entirely. Good luck!!
