First Battery Failure!

RD, Let me just ask you a question....when you car was srviced...or when you serviced it...or when you were just checking the fluids....did you ever check the water level in each cell of the battery, tighten the cables, and clean/greese the terminals?
I am trying to get a idea of how much longer I should have on my OEM batt. I bought the car new in Dec, 99.....and I always keep after the battery at service time.
