Fog Light Installation Question 850 1993

Hello and Happy New Year to all!
This is my first post here and this board was highly recommended by several of my BMW pals at bmwe34.net. I was out sick today and began installation of a recently purchased factory fog light kit. All is going well except I can't seem to find the red wire connector from the accessory output in the wire harness. The instructions supplied with the kit say this is taped to the harness above the hood/bonnet release lever. All I see above the release lever is a couple of terminal blocks. I assume this taped lead comes from fuse #16 in the fuse block since the instructions say to install the supplied fuse in that slot. Can anyone give me an idea of what and where to look?
