Average Service Life of Critical Parts S70

I do a lot of night driving and having my S70 suddenly quit is not my idea of excitement on a cold rainy night in the middle of no-where . Want to know from some experienced Volvo mechanics . What is the average service life of components like fuel pumps and other items that can go bad quickly and leave you stranded . I know engine failures on aircraft are extremely low because most critical components have a time in service life or time before overhaul (tbo) and when reached it is replaced or overhauled reguardless of condition . My S70 now has 122,000 miles on it and starting to wonder when the water pump , fuel pump , alternator , shocks , ect . will start failing . Any help from the pro's ?
