CD changer question 850 1996

as far as i know only the volvo or alpine cd changer will work with the volvo head unit (which i think is made by alpine). if you use the alpine cd changer you need to get an adapter, pretty simple plug and play operation. don't listen to most stereo sales people that says the adapter is $100. the can be had on crutchfield.com for $20 or so.
