Coolant Leak (850T5) 850 1995

Hi:

The other day I was driving and steam started coming out of the side. I opened up the car and there was essentially no coolant left in the reservoir. I refilled this with coolant and water. I waited a while and then proceeded to drive the car home. The temperature gauge still reads hot. Granted I need to go in to repair the leak but am I in any near term danger of overheating? I checked the coolant level and it appears fine as if there is no leak. Any thoughts?
